Zainab Jamal  B.A., J.D.


As a recently licensed lawyer, Zainab approaches her work with vibrancy, enthusiasm and compassion. Zainab believes that it is integral to find customized solutions that meet every client’s unique circumstances and is dedicated to doing so with efficiency. With a passion and appreciation for legal research, Zainab is always committed to finding the correct answer to complicated legal questions. 

Prior to being Called to the Bar, Zainab completed her Law Practice Program placement with Kaminker and Associates through Ryerson University. Zainab had the opportunity to assist in multiple immigration applications including, refugee claims, labour market impact assessments, family class sponsorship applications, humanitarian and compassionate ground applications and stay of removal orders. Zainab also gained knowledge in preparing submissions for Federal Court leave applications and Refugee Appeal Division proceedings. 

As a student, Zainab was elected by her peers to represent them on the Criminology Student Association during her time at the University of Toronto. She also joined the Canadian Law Students’ Association and acted in the capacity of a mentor to several law school students while at Bond University. With a strong interest in community work, Zainab has volunteered at non-profit charitable organizations such as, Sistering: A Woman’s Place.
